Agar.io Account System, Membership Login and Levels
Today is a great day for Agar.io! A new account system is introduced. From now on we will be able to login via our Facebook accounts, start game with bigger masses and the most important one, we will have a progress (level). Dev (Zeach) must be working hard! Because today there is an also a second huge development: Official mobile apps are released. For both IPhone and Android. Can not believe hah? No, my friends, these are real, ain’t a dream.
Account System and Membership Login
All right, that is enough to speak, lets try this awesome feature right now! We go to agar.io on our browser:
We see that legacy “Play” button is replaced by two buttons as “Play as guest” and “Login and play”. “Play as guest” has the same function with old “Play” button. When you press “Login and play” button, a Facebook Connect confirmation dialog opens and requests permission to log you in with Facebook. After logging in, you can play Agar.io with your own account!
Also there is a small tool-tip under “Login and play” button. It says that:
Levels in Agar.io
Oh my god, with that feature, players will have a level and start the game with more mass with proportional to level rank. I think this is a great feature. Thanks to Zeach. I am sure players will love this and be more addictive to this awesome game.
You can see the screenshot when you are logged in below. I started to play Agar.io to try this new feature and gain some points so became level 6. The next game I will start with bigger mass and so on.
Impact on AgarMods
We mentioned of AgarMods in one of our articles in the past. With that browser extension you could play Agar.io with your friends in same game room. But after some time this extension changed something: They introduced an account system and login. So lots of players had to sign up to use this extension. In my opinion this was a bad idea because I think it is not good to have an account sytem other that official Agar.io web site. With that new account system, official Agar.io game held the aces.
Why Facebook Connect?
In Agar.io forums some people did not like “Facebook Connect” idea. They think “Do we have to own a Facebook account to play Agar.io? Why not just submitting a simple signup form?” It is developer’s decision of course and I agree with that Facebook idea. Because everybody has a Facebook account and connecting with Facebook is really easy and fast.
I spread the word and I am leaving to play with new features and enjoy the day. See you guys! Btw please share your ideas about account login and level system in Agar.io. What do you think? Did you like it? Please share your ideas in the comment section below.
